With classes, day camps, and programs for young actors between the ages of 4 and 18, The Phoenix Theatre for Children's Summer Theatre Camps for Kids and Teens are now accepting reservations!
Preschool Classes (Ages 4 & 5)
Using your favorite stories as a springboard for dramatic play, our youngest actors learn to work together as they explore basic acting, movement, and music skills. Students will also create their own props to enhance their story.
Character Creation Camps (Ages 6-8 & Ages 9-13) !
Become whomever or whatever you want in this daily exploration of the mystery and magic of theatre. Students will create a play based on the theme of the week, and craft simple sets and costumes to help tell their story. Each week ends with a "sharing" for family and friends to attend!
The Film Academy for Teens (Ages 13-18)
Lights! Camera! Action! Have you ever dreamed of being a star on the big screen? Do you wonder what it takes to make a movie? Come explore the art of movie-making, from acting all the way to production. Write and shoot your own short film as we discover the challenges and rewards of acting for the camera. We will work on set design, costuming, and props, and screen our films on July 3. Don't miss the fun!
The Musical Theatre Creation Conservatory (Ages 13-18)
Take the fun and excitement of musical theatre to a whole new creative level-yours! Work with our professional artists and composers to build an original story, complete with music and lyrics. (No writing experience necessary.) You'll also rehearse the story's songs, scenes, and dances, as well as create the costumes and scenery for our final sharing on July 31.
