Cast and Crew Bios
Joe Bishara (Dad/Pa/Paul Bunyan/Daniel Boone) was an Acting Company Member/Artist Educator for The Phoenix from 2000-2002, and currently serves as the Theatre's Production Coordinator. In between tours of duty at The Phoenix, Joe has worked as an actor, producer, and director in regional theatres across the Midwestern United States. Joe was last scene onstage in the Cleveland Playhouse Square 2007 production of Forbidden Broadway: SVU . Joe loves guacamole and Chinese food.
Kim Garrison-Hopcraft (Mom/Ma/Johnny Appleseed) Phoenix audiences might remember Kim as the Queen of England in The BFG. Columbus credits include Still Life with Iris (Curtain Players), Ms. Pennywise in Urinetown (Gallery Players), and CCT's Beauty and the Beast. Favorite roles include: Mother in Ragtime, Betty Rogers in Will Rogers Follies, Anna in The King and I, and the most important, "MOM" to Dylan (7) and Cassidy (4). Kim also played Alaura Kingsley in the National Tour of City of Angels. Enjoy the show!
John Householder (Music Director) aka "Chief Johnny Lonesome" previously served as Musical Director for The Phoenix productions of Go Dog, Go! , and A Year With Frog & Toad. A classically trained piano player, John has been involved in various musical projects and groups in and around Columbus since moving from New Orleans in 1980.
Laura Hum (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back at The Phoenix after stage managing Winnie the Pooh last year. She recently returned from a tour with the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and has worked extensively with The Ohio State University.
Lake Wilburn (Boy/Jethro) is in the sixth grade at Indianola K-8. Favorite roles include: Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bill in School House Rock, (Davis Performing Arts Center). He also performed in CCT's Stinky Cheese Man. This is his first Phoenix Theatre production.
