Who's Who
Steven C. Anderson (Director) is the Artistic Director of the Phoenix Theatre for Children. He has created plays for and with Central Ohio children for the past thirty years. His directing credits include Children of a Lesser God, Greater Tuna, and Assassins (Players Theatre Columbus), Love! Valour! Compassion!, and The Taste of Sunrise (CATCO), and Hair and Candide (The Ohio State University). Steven recently directed the award-winning bilingual productions of The Secret Garden (co-produced with CAPA, Phoenix Theatre for Children and Opera Columbus) and The Miracle Worker.
Ted Amore (Jean), now in his 16th season with the Phoenix, was last seen in Many Moons. Other Phoenix credits include A Year with Frog and Toad, Seussical The Musical, and The Paper Bag Princess. Ted was also seen this past summer in The Tempest with Actors' Theatre.
Dwayne Blackaller (Francois) is a native of the North West and recently earned his M.F.A. in Acting at the Ohio State University. Working as a professional actor and acting instructor for fifteen adventure-filled years, Dwayne is happy to be making his debut with PTC and thanks his supportive family and friends.
Adam Crawford (Pierre) is a sixth grader at Village Academy in Powell. When he is not pretending to be an elephant, he enjoys reading, singing, and feeding his 5 pets. Adam is also a member of the Columbus Children's Choir. This is his first play with the Phoenix Theatre.
Lindsay Beery (Stage Manager) is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University. So far she has completed a fellowship with CATCO in costuming and is now working in the box office at CAPA. This is only Lindsay's second show with PTC but hopes to add even more shows in the future.
Ruth Boyd (Costume Designer) served as Costume Designer for The Phoenix Theatre for Children's first production and has been designing for PTC ever since.
Ginny Cipolla (Cecile) has a long and varied background in the theatre, performing everything from Shakespeare to the contemporary scene. Originally from Stratford, Connecticut, her recent projects include CCT's production of The Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch of the West), Shadowbox's production of Woodstock, Back to the Garden (Video monologue) , and a CAM Talent television commercial for Safe Auto (Justin Case at the BMV).
Whitney Thomas Eads (Adele) has had an active role in Educational Outreach Arts since graduating Hope College with a degree in Theatre. She has worked with Theatre Action Project, OAAE, Big Thought, and now PTC. Acting credits include: The Nina Variations (Nina), Two Rooms (Lainie), and Rose and the Rime (Rime Witch).
Darin Keesing (Lighting Designer) is delighted to serve as Lighting Designer for The Phoenix 09/10 season after designing the lighting for The Miracle Worker and Many Moons last season. Darin has over 60 lighting and scenic design credits in Chicago, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire, and designed the lights for CATCO's The Seafarer, and AVLT's Pride and Prejudice.
Allison Walker (Stage Manager), a 2006 OSU alum, was an '07-'08 CATCO fellow and has since stage managed their Capote holiday show and 2009 Gala. Other credits include OSU's Opera Program, Davis Center, Columbus Children's Theatre, Gallery Players, Available Light Theatre, and the Club Theatre Company. Her gratitude, as always, to her parents
